One of the highlights of 2022 had been the monthly WAWA gatherings at Apartment Project Berlin.
So many great female artists, art historians, and academicians came together to discuss the structure and future plans of WAWA.
I am glad to be part of the WAWA Team and to support the longterm project in establishing an online database and offline network of women+ artists living in Berlin from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Turkey and Yemen (more countries will join) who have experienced displaced and forced or willing relocation. A project from the community for the community but also a way to build bridges to outside.
